NHL 10 Scoring TipsNHL 10 is by far the greatest hockey game I've played. The graphics are fantastic, the manual aim is spot on, and the fighting feature is superb. The only negative aspect I have found to be frustrating is the goalies super duper fast reflexes. I was finding it really difficult to score. But I kept practicing and have come up with various methods that will help you and your pucks find the back of the net. So if you've been trying to learn how to score in NHL10 and haven't had success I hope this article will help you improve. Grease the Crease1.)This has been one of the most successful ways of scoring especially if executed correctly. When you are on the rush charge down towards the red line. If you see another one of your players crashing to the other side of the net then quickly pass across the crease for him to knock in a one timer. Doing this forces the goalie to have to quickly get from one side of the net all the way to the other side. To increase your chance of scoring this way, on the one timers aim for the top corners. Also, often times when you pass across the crease the puck will deflect off of a defensive player sometimes scoring. 2.) While entering the other teams Zone have your player skate towards their red line. As hes skating perform multiple dekes. This will often bring the defender guarding the far side of the net towards you. Then perform the one timer. Video Examples:
Deflections and Rebounds3.) Another Great method of scoring goals is through rebounds and deflections. To perform deflections take your shots when you have players in front of the net blocking the goalie. Often your player in front of the net will try and deflect it as the puck sails past him. 4.) Rebounds are probably the best or second best way to score. To perform a rebound shoot the puck at either the leg pads or the arm blocker. This will cause the puck to deflect off the goalie. Perform these when you have people in front of the net or you see one of your players rushing the net. Deflection Video:
Vary Your Shot placement and Location 3.) Varying your shot location and placement will keep the goalie guessing. For instance Shot 1: Slapshot to the goalies blocker side from the point. Shot 2: Wrist shot from the slot to the glove side etc. Hint: Top corners are the best place to normally aim for. However , shooting to the block or his leg pads often leads to rebounds. Vary it up and pucks will start going in. Best Places to shoot from and their location 4.)Point: When the slots just don't seem to open take slap shots from the point. Slapshots from the point sometimes go in but more than often bounce of the goalies pad. Best time to shoot from here is when you have players up front near the goalie. This helps obstruct the goalies view and you'll have players there ready to smack in the rebound. 5.) Slot: I found that one timers and wrist shots work best here. Try aiming to the high corner on the goalies stick side, but also vary it up. If you're still having troubles scoring then it's time to change the sliders. Go to My Nhl ,settings , game settings, You can leave it on pro and then just change GAME TEMPO to Normal. |
